Walser culture in Alagna Valsesia

The Walser culture has been handed down orally over the centuries, passing from generation to generation through a rich repertoire of stories and legends narrated during the long winter evenings. Alagna has been able to preserve over the years the Walser cultural heritage with its characteristic houses, fountains, ovens bread, the old mills and the renewed water-powered sawmill. The ancient traditions, customs and traditions of this people represent an invaluable heritage, which has always been protected and handed down.
